About Us Since 1993, Hill Consulting Services has been helping individuals develop the skills and confidence to successfully find employment in today's competitive workforce. Fran Hill now works solely as a private consultant, offering her coaching services to individuals, universities, government organizations, and businesses throughout the Maritime Provinces and the UK. Hill Consulting Services has a proven record in coaching people of all ages and backgrounds in effective ways to successfully market themselves to employers. Fran helps them identify their employability skills, overcome barriers, identify the most effective ways to find work, and prepare to talk about themselves confidently in interviews. Her clients are varied: unemployed workers, employed people looking for a new career, and those newly entering or re-entering the workforce. Fran has provided employment coaching to over 2,000 individuals and has helped Nova Scotians find work across the labour market including executives, senior management, administration, trades, customer service, IT professions, sciences, engineering and nursing. Fran Hill prides herself on her current knowledge of the ever-changing workforce and the needs of employers. She maintains close working relations with the business community, and provides coaching sessions to meet the needs of her clients, including those with employment barriers or specialized needs. Fran is well known for her unique Marketing Me sessions which have been recognized by the House of Commons for their successful employment rate. Approximately 90% of participants found the job of their choice within three months of completing the program. One of the key elements of an effective job search is creating résumés and cover letters. Hill Consulting Services helps clients develop dynamic, targeted résumés and cover letters that illustrate what the individual has to offer in less than 20 seconds! Instead of using a template, each résumé and letter is designed to suit the client and their industry. Fran provides one-on-one assistance with the client, asking thought-provoking questions about work experience, training, and education, and then putting it together in a professional and dynamic package. Fran also offers outplacement services to businesses who are experiencing corporate reorganization. In addition to career coaching, she also offers True Colors™/Personality Dimensions™ workshops to individuals and groups. These valuable sessions help employed and unemployed clients to identify and appreciate their own strengths and qualities, improve interpersonal communications, and identify possible career opportunities.
